What variety of Saffron do we sell

The most premium variety of saffron is called as Kashmiri Mongra saffron (Newal). Though Kashmir grows other varieties of saffron as well, we only sell Mongra, since it is the best variety of saffron that you can find in the world.

Saffron is grown and harvested in very few countries and the labour involved in its harvest is extremely time consuming and tedious. The red stigmas of the saffron flower are handpicked and hence it takes a lot of hardwork to assemble even one gram of saffron. This explains the high cost of pure saffron in the market.
Our saffron is harvested from saffron fields of Pampore, Pulwama in South Kashmir. Though it is pricey, Kashmiri Mongra saffron is known for its aroma and top quality. We urge our customers to never settle for cheap & fake varieties of saffron found in the market since those could pose a threat to your health.

In Kashmir, Saffron isn't just a spice; it is our history, our pride, and our "Red Gold". However, as I travelled the world, I realized how difficult it was to find the real thing. Much of what is sold as saffron is often diluted or mislabeled. I started this company with a single, clear goal: to protect the integrity of Kashmiri Saffron.
